​Turquoise HSE Ltd has recent experience in performing Coronavirus COVID-19 Risk Assessments for businesses and can develop Isolation & Social Distancing Procedures and Site Layout Diagrams to help protect employees and businesses from the risks associated with COVID-19. We fully appreciate the need for organisations to minimise the opportunities for the virus to spread amongst their employees by maintaining 2-metre distancing between individuals wherever possible within their facility(s) or by providing partitions, segregation, face shields or masks where appropriate but particularly where social distancing is not always possible or practical.​

what to consider?

The following details what organisations must do to allow them to reopen and to ensure that they they can protect staff, contractors and visitors from the virus:

  1. Carry out a detailed COVID-19 risk assessment to identify the control measures required to manage the risks associated with reopening and operating when there are virus restrictions in place.​​
  2. Develop procedures and systems to manage and control activities within facilities to ensure that the restrictions currently in place are always met. 
  3. Consider introducing the following types of control measures to manage operations:​​

  • Determine what staff can work from home and set up appropriate home VPN lines
  • Introduce and enforce appropriate one-way pedestrian access and egress routes where possible
  • Introduce suitable and sufficient hand-washing and disinfection / sanitation stations
  • Clearly mark up all the pedestrian routes, 2-metre distancing intervals and other site rules
  • Where possible segregate staff work stations to meet the 2-metre distancing guidelines
  • Where 2-metre distancing cannot be achieved erect easy-clean partitions between work stations
  • Limit the amount of staff permitted within rooms at any one time to ensure that the 2-metre distancing guidelines can be met at all times (this will need to be calculated for each area)
  • Consider staggering starting, finishing times and breaks to ensure that 2-metre distancing is always met
  • Where 2-metre distancing and easy-clean partitions cannot be achieved consider introducing face-shields, visors or masks
  • Introduce or increase the sanitising of regular contact surfaces e.g. handrails, banisters, tables, chairs, door handles, light switches, keyboards, mouse devices, etc.
  • Allow staff away from their work activities to hand-wash on a regular basis
  • Review eating arrangements and consider removing hand-contact services, e.g. vending
  • Consider visual signals and communications to remind staff of the safety arrangements in place

  • Day rate is £ 650 per day (8 hours)
